Joseph Calleja with Dionne Warwick and Riccardo Cocciante
Joseph Calleja delighted thousands of people on the granaries this evening in a concert that featured the best of classical music with the more modern songs of Riccado Cocciante and Dionne Warwick. The concert was delayed by five days because of strong winds, leading Calleja to joke at the introduction that he had come to know the people at the Met Office on a first name basis. Winter Moods
The Winter Moods concert has been rescheduled to July 30 due to the unforeseen postponement of the Joseph Calleja concert to July 29. Nng Promotions apologised for the inconvenience and said that the technical and logistical preparations for the Winter Moods concert amounted to a massive operation involving hundreds of man hours, required to cater for the massive crowd which has already surpassed the record-breaking paying attendance of 2008. The Joseph Calleja, Dionne Warwick and Riccardo Cocciante concert has been moved to Thursday at The Granaries in Floriana at 8.30 p.m. The concert was postponed due to weather forecasts which predicted very strong winds, including the possibility of near gale force winds. NNG Promotions apologised for the inconvenience and emphasised that the concert needed to be postponed to ensure that the thousands of guests attending the event would enjoy the best possible experience and performance from all the artists and orchestra.
