The Joseph Calleja, Dionne Warwick and Riccardo Cocciante concert has been rescheduled for Thursday July 29 at The Granaries in Floriana at 2030hrs. The concert was postponed due to weather forecasts which predicted very strong winds, including the possibility of near gale force winds. NNG Promotions have apologized for the inconvenience, emphasizing that the concert needed to be postponed to ensure that the thousands of guests attending the event will get to enjoy the best possible experience and performance from all the artists and orchestra. Joseph Calleja delighted thousands of people on the granaries this evening in a concert that featured the best of classical music with the more modern songs of Riccado Cocciante and Dionne Warwick. The concert was delayed by five days because of strong winds, leading Calleja to joke at the introduction that he had come to know the people at the Met Office on a first name basis. Rehearsals are in full swing for the 500-strong Joseph Calleja HSBC children’s choir that will be accompanying Joseph Calleja, Baglioni and Dionne Warwick on stage at the Granaries on July 24 in a mega, live concert organised by NnG Promotions.
