Gwyn Ashton plays venues, festivals and stadiums worldwide, sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock and blues. His latest project is a unique alternative blues and roots-rock power duo in which he makes creative use of octave dividers, delays and loops, bringing the blues into the 21st century. Ashton has delivered show-stopping performances at festivals such as: Cognac Blues Passions, Great British R&B Festival, Maryport, Beauvais, Gympie Muster, Thredbo, Dobrofest, Prague Blues Festival, coheadlined the Marseille Blues Festival with Robben Ford and been highly acclaimed by such luminaries as Robert Plant, Johnny Winter and Eric Johnson. Infuenced by the likes of Hendrix and the other rock guitar greats, Ashton also draws his inspiration from the Mississippi delta blues cats of the ’30s and includes bottleneck and lap-slide in all of his performances. Like a band possessed, Ashton’s fiery 2-man combo pulls no punches and delivers the goods every time. Lo-Fi, analogue and dangerous!

Ashton has played onstage with the likes of Mick Fleetwood, Hubert Sumlin, Marc Ford, Jon Paris, Canned Heat and opened for BB King, Buddy Guy, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, Mick Taylor, Peter Green, Vanilla Fudge, Wishbone Healey, Tony Joe White, Dan Baird and many others. He also appears and gives tutorials in numerous guitar magazines, has two of his songs in movie soundtracks in France and Asia, conducts masterclasses in Australia and Europe (inc GIT and Guitar X, London) and performs live on radio and television worldwide.
